- As requested by several people, I have made AmigaMUD work with AmiTCP/IP.
- Now you can play it over the net. Let's get lots of AmigaMUD servers out
- there so we can play!
-
- There are two connection modes. One is the straight text mode, which you
- can telnet to (or use some other MUD client program). It currently makes
- a mess of prompts, but I'm going to work on that.
-
- The other mode is the full binary mode, for which the player needs to
- be on an Amiga, and running the MUD graphics client program. It is
- included in the archive.
-
- The archive, "AMTCP-1.0.lha" has been uploaded to Aminet, where it should
- appear in the game/role directory, and is also available on the ftp
- server at the place I work:
-
- ftp.myrias.com /pub/cg/MUD/AmigaMUD/
-
- (Also known as ftp.myrias.ab.ca if your nameserver has trouble with it.)
-
- Note that if you want to run AmigaMUD, and don't already have it, the
- above archive is only an addition. To just play on someone else's server,
- you will also need archive AMClnt-1.0.lha, and to put up your own
- server (only on Amiga's currently) you will also need AMSrv-1.0.lha.
